Pune\u2019s very own Rohit Suravarse from Rich Bit Salon (Wakad) and Shweta Acharya from Amo’s Unisex Salon (Kharadi), made the city proud by identifying as the top thirty finalist of Godrej Professional Spotlight, a platform that celebrates hairstylists on a national stage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Organized by Godrej Professional, a leading professional hair brand offering hair colour and hair care from the house of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL), Godrej Professional Spotlight aims to recognize exceptional hairstyling talent and support their professional growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The grand finale, held in Mumbai, featured 30 talented finalists chosen from entries across the country. Each finalist showcased curated hair colour looks inspired by the Godrej Professional\u2019s Surreal Collection on the ramp in a spectacular grand finale. Rohit and Shweta participated in the grand finale event alongside 28 other finalists, showcasing their unique hair colour creation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This first-ever batch of 30 skilled professionals had the unique opportunity to attend masterclasses led by Yianni Tsapatori, Creative Director – Hair at Godrej Professional,<\/strong> along with esteemed mentors Shailesh Moolya, National Technical Head, and Najeeb-Ur-Rehman, Technical Ambassador for Godrej Professional.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Abhinav Grandhi, General Manager, Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL),<\/strong> added, \u201cWe are incredibly proud of the overwhelming response to Godrej Professional Spotlight. This platform not only offers an opportunity for talented hairstylists to showcase their creativity but also reflects our commitment towards education and training. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Through this initiative, we aim to empower stylists with the skills and exposure necessary to excel in an increasingly competitive market. This is just one of our steps towards our long-term commitment to nurture and uplift India\u2019s salon professionals.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The esteemed jury panel, included Yianni Tsapatori, (Creative Director – Hair, Godrej Professional)<\/strong>; Monica Bahl (CEO of Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council)<\/strong>; along with special guest jury \u2013 actress Adaa Khan<\/strong> and Helly Shah<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Through Godrej Professional Spotlight, Rohit and Shweta along with 28 other shortlisted hairstylists, underwent \u2018Recognition of Prior Learning\u2019 certification program<\/strong> offered by the Beauty & Wellness Sector Skill Council<\/strong> (B&WSSC), an Awarding Body of National Council for Vocational Education & Training (NCVET) under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Through th is program, the hairstylists received National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) aligned Government of India certification. Rohit and Shweta can now use the certificate to procure loans for professional endeavours.
